Corporate Chef, Restaurateur & Founder

After rocking it at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Chef Mercer Mohr really kicked things into high gear. He got his hands dirty and his skills sharp working with some of the coolest Master Chefs around. Part of a kickass corporate squad, Mercer helped pop open new spots for the Hyatt Hotel Corp all over the place, picking up tricks, tips, and a few secret recipes along the way.

But Chef Mercer didn’t stop there. He took all that know-how and swagger and poured it into his own ventures. Fast forward to now, and he’s the proud owner and operator of not one, but four of Sedona’s tastiest and most talked-about restaurants: Creekside American Bistro, Rascal Modern American Diner & Bar, Rene in Tlaquepaque, and, of course, the legendary Mesa Grill Sedona.

Each spot has its own vibe, but they all share Mercer’s signature style: laid-back, full of flavor, and just plain fun. He’s the guy who turned his culinary adventures into Sedona’s must-visit dining experiences, making sure every plate that comes out of the kitchen is as much about the journey as it is about the jaw-droppingly good food.
